Freelancer DUR ship overview

The Freelancer DUR is the exploration variant of the Freelancer ship developed by MISC. It sacrifices some of the cargo capacity of the standard Freelancer in exchange for a more advanced scanner, an expanded fuel tank, a fuel refinery and an enhanced jump drive. This may seem like a bad call to some, but those who value discovery over profit will find it to be their ship of choice.

Key features

• Range: The DUR is equipped with a larger fuel tanks and has a fuel refinery, enabling it to extend its exploration capabilities
• Cargo: The Freelancer features a main rear cargo bay and a smaller midships cargo hold that hold a combined total of 36 SCU of cargo Thanks to its rear ramp, the ship is also capable of carrying ground vehicles such as the Dragonfly or STV
• Crew Accommodation: While the Freelancer can be flown solo, it can accommodate up to four people. Each crewmate enjoys their own bed in the crew area, along with a shared kitchenette and bathroom
• Weapons: With a pair of pilot-controlled turrets on the side of the ship, each capable of carrying a pair of Size 3 guns, a rear manned turret which can hold a pair of Size 2 guns, and racks that can carry four Size 3 and four Size 2 missiles, the Freelancer can hit back hard if attacked
