MISC Starlancer TAC ship overview

The Starlancer TAC is a variant of the Starlancer series of large-sized ships developed by Musashi Industrial and Starflight Concern. This vessel has been designed as a patrol vessel and is capable of functioning in deep space. It features significant weaponry, eight jump seats, medical facilities, and a specialized hangar for the Mirai Fury.

Key features

  • Armament: The Starlancer is equipped with two pilot-slaved cheek-mounted turrets armed with a pair of Size 4 guns, in addition to two crew-operated dorsal remote turrets armed with the same. Specific to and arguably the most infamous characteristic of the Starlancer TAC is its formidable manned turrets located on both sides of the vessel which both mount a pair of Size 5 guns.
  • Supporting missile armament consists of four missile racks accommodating four Size 3 missiles each and two rear-facing remote missile turrets, both capable of launching six Size 2 missiles
  • Parasite Craft: The Starlancer TAC's upper core has been remodelled to include a dorsal hangar designed specifically to support the compact dimensions of the Mirai Fury for on-demand fighter escort. The Starlancer's standard aft cargo bay also readily supports the deployment and retrieval of ground vehicles
  • Infantry Deployment and Relief: A key feature of the Starlancer TAC is a central infantry deployment bay outfitted with eight jump seats, each featuring a gun rack accommodating a rifle. Egress from this bay is provided by two sealed deployment ramps from which infantry may readily jump under cover of suppressive fire from two integral infantry-operated Size 1 door guns.
  • On retrieval, any injuries sustained by the squad can be relieved in the medical bay specific to the Starlancer TAC which houses two tier 3 medical beds designed to provide advanced medical care in emergency situations. Additionally, as of Alpha 4.3.1, the Starlancer TAC enables players to regenerate up to 50 km away
  • Habitation: Due to the Starlancer TAC's significantly increased crew complement and reduced allocation of space, its crew accommodations are designed to be more compact and functional in comparison to other Starlancers. It features shared quarters with eight bunk beds, personal lockers, two bathrooms and a suitably sized mess hall
