The Railen is a large Xi'an cargo ship manufactured by Gatac Manufacture. It has been designed by the esteemed House Ng.at'ak to cater to the needs of both Human and Xi'an pilots. Featuring grav-lev technology and tested design features, the Railen is promoted as a safe and reliable solution for commercial-grade medium cargo hauling.

- Cargo: The ship has external cargo gids that has a total capacity of 640 SCU, with the ability of transporting as many as twenty 32-SCU containers. Additionally, it features retractable armor that provides extra protection for the cargo
- Tractor Beams: The vessel is equipped with a pair of remotely operated Size 2 tractor beams that facilitate the efficient transfer of the substantial cargo it is capable of transporting
- Guns: The Railen is not entirely without defense thanks to its four forward facing Size 4 gun hardpoints and on the sides, a pair of manned turrets that can each hold two Size 4 gun hardpoints
- Missiles: In addition to its main armament, the ship is equipped with racks that can hold up to four Size 2 and sixteen Size 1 missiles
- Habitation: The ship features a 4 bed habitation room with an open layout in the aft section of the middle deck. Three beds are located on the aft wall and one bed between the two forward doors. - Personal item storage: Under each of the four crew beds, there are personal lockers that can each hold up to 1000k uSCU or 1 SCU of various items. There are also eight suit lockers, four in the elevator landing room and four in the rear docking room, however as of Alpha 4.8.2 this functionality has yet to be implemented
- Weapon/Utility racks: Racks are available at the front entrance and rear docking hatch that are capable of accommodating eight Size 2-3 weapons and/or tools, as well as eight Size 1 pistols and/or medguns, and eight utility Size 1 tools
